چکیده
Over the last two and a half decades, photoacoustic (PA) imaging has become an important area of research in biomedical optics. Combining high contrast optical with spatial resolution ultrasound (US) imaging, PA can simultaneously visualize anatomical structures while interrogating their functionality through multiwavelength spectroscopy. Alongside technological developments applications acoustic family signal analysis techniques extract additional information about sample being imaged. This Tutorial focuses on that rely signals manner similar to complimentary field quantitative (QUS) soft tissues. In QUS, have been developed analyze US resulting from scattering many unresolved scatterers within volume device. The implementation these enable new biomedicine beyond traditional further increasing utilization impact this promising modality.

Multiscale photoacoustic microscopy and computed tomography.
Photoacoustic tomography (PAT) is probably the fastest growing biomedical imaging technology owing to its capability of high-resolution sensing of rich optical contrast in vivo at depths beyond the optical transport mean free path (~1 mm in the skin). Existing high-resolution optical imaging technologies, such as confocal microscopy and two-photon microscopy, have fundamentally impacted biomedi...
متن کاملBregman methods in quantitative photoacoustic tomography
The Bregman method is utilized to quantitatively improve the simultaneous reconstruction of absorption and scattering coefficients for both Jacobian-based and gradient-based methods in quantitative photoacoustic tomography with multiple optical excitations. It is the synergistic combination of Bregman method and the total-variation regularization in achieving the desired quantitative improvemen...

متن کاملMultimodal simultaneous photoacoustic tomography, optical resolution microscopy and OCT system
A novel combined photoacoustic tomography (PAT), optical resolution photoacoustic microscopy (ORPAM) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) instrument has been developed for imaging biological tissues. The system is based on the use of a Fabry-Perot (FP) polymer film ultrasound sensor. This is designed to be transparent to wavelengths between 590nm and 1200nm so that photoacoustic excitation la...
